SAP Approuter is a Node.js library used as a single point-of-entry to an enterprise application. The Approuter is used to serve static content, authenticate users, rewrite URLs, and forward or proxy requests to other micro services while propagating user information.

As Part of the conversion process to S/4HANA, the migration monitor (FINS_MIG_STATUS) is responsible for coordinating the migration of Finance data into the new S/4HANA data model. To access details about a data migration run, click the Overview tab and see the list of activities and their respective statuses.

Incomplete steps or those with errors are displayed with a red status. The data migration process stops, preventing any subsequent tasks from being executed by the system. Overview

In this article, the method of connecting Service Now with HANA SDA connection is explained along with the set up for the delta connection is described. The scenario described here will explain the connectivity with Service Now and the data extraction techniques.

Connectivity with Service Now from HANA is possible through SOAP adapter. Once the adapter is set up, a connection needs to be created in HANA IDE. This is possible through the SDA option. Please note that the data is always accessed virtually and there is no need of replicating the data for the connection.

As you are all aware now, you cannot connect DS directly to the SAP BW4HANA system, Hance needs to connect DS DB with the HANA database via SDA and create a source system.

How to Find Which Structure is Included in Which Structure?

Introduction

In Every Projects you go there will be requirement to enhance the Standard Screen to add some new Custom Fields. The general approach you do use Append Structure and add your Custom Fields. Sometime while analysing it may happen that you have the Append Structure name but you cannot find the Actual Structure it is attached to. You must be thinking Where-used list should help you find out but No it does not.

There are various ways of deploying the XS Advanced runtime. Before deploying the XSA many scenarios need to considered that will have impact on your landscape maintenance activity .For example the system refresh scenarios where you will need to refresh only a certain tenants instead of complete system this deployment plays a key role . I will go through the limitations in detail in backup restore section. In general, The following additional services run where XSA is deployed:

Google Cloud backint – Non-prod Hana DB recovery using production backint backup

Blog explains Hana database recovery process on google cloud environment. its applicable for SAP homogeneous system copy scenarios where stage or non-production database get refresh using production data backup which is located on google cloud storage bucket.

Google backint tool  – introduction

Google backint is use for HANA backup and recovery on google cloud environment. High level it directly stores backups on cloud storage and speed up backup/recovery due to use of parallel channels.

Standard backint backup configuration work for same server/SID recovery scenario but doesn’t work for different SID / server recovery scenario.  i.e. using one server DB backup to restore on other DB server via backint.  This blog will address on require setup to make such recovery easy and faster.
